Install Tovu

Run Tovu with Node and open it in your browser. Want the app instead? Download Tovu Desktop.

Node.js 24+ · check with node --version git, or the zip from Download

Four steps

No database server, no Docker, no account. Your site keeps its data in its own folder.

Get the code.

git clone https://github.com/AINSEP/Tovu.git
cd Tovu

Install dependencies.
```
npm install
```
Start it.
```
npm start
```
The first start builds Tovu, which takes a few minutes, once.
Open localhost:3000/admin and sign in as admin / tovu-dev. Change the password when the dashboard asks. Port 3000 busy? npm start uses the next free one and prints it.

Other devices on your network can reach it. Keep it to this computer with TOVU_HOST=127.0.0.1 npm start.
Updating? After git pull, run npm install, npm run build and npm run admin:build, then npm start.
